Overview
Founded in 2020, the Strategic Issues and Research Council (SIRC) is a donor initiative to pioneer the use of preemptive and proactive strategies to mitigate attacks from anti-rights, anti-gender, and anti-democratic forces on bodily autonomy in East Africa and beyond. SIRC has been working with CivFund as a fiscal sponsor since 2021. This grant will allow SIRC to implement a program to define, refine, and implement an intersectional preemptive and proactive playbook to foster effective mitigation against threats to bodily autonomy in East Africa and beyond.
