For An Evaluation System To Assess Access To Health Services And Maternal Mortality In Mexico

The Observatory of Maternal Mortality has carried out monitoring exercises of public policies to improve access to maternal health services at the state level. This grant will allow the observatory to monitor the quality of health services for vulnerable populations in four states. The observatory will develop indicators of acceptability of public health services with the objective of them being used by the National Council of Evaluation to evaluate access and quality of public health services for vulnerable populations.

for citizen-led assessments of education in Mexico  
Independent Monitoring of Learning is a program of the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology based in Xalapa, Mexico, which recruits volunteers to conduct household assessments that gauge how well students are learning in six states in Mexico. During this grant period, they will carry out a new round of assessments in at least six states and convene parents, teachers, and local officials to discuss the application of their findings.
for the CCiudadano program  
CCiudadano is a program of the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology that partners with local citizen groups to improve oversight of government spending at the municipal level in Mexico. With this grant, CCiudadano will continue to provide technical assistance to partner organizations and apply research to better understand the pathways through which citizen oversight improves public service delivery.
