CIEP will study alternatives to expand the fiscal space, as well as construct a database to improve the accuracy and targeting of fiscal policies. It will continue work on its fiscal simulator and promote its use by creating micro simulations in other countries in the Global South that are experiencing fiscal contraction. In addition, CIEP will develop participatory budgeting tools for public expenditures on key public services, such as health, at the local level.
