Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
Nonpartisan and independent, the Center for Responsive Politics produces research, data, tools, analysis, and reporting to uphold a robust democracy. Founded in 1983, CRP is the leading research watchdog tracking money-in-politics, exposing its impact on elections and policies, and serving as a champion for transparency and accountability in government. Through its website OpenSecrets.org, the Center provides a thorough map of the money in U.S. politics from dozens of perspectives, including by industry and interest group; geography; source of funds; demographics of donors and recipients; and trends in spending.
for general operating support
The Center for Responsive Politics, founded in 1983, is the nation’s primary research watchdog tracking money in national U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy. The Center gathers data on campaign donations and spending and on lobbying, and its expertise makes this data the most reliable available. Through its website, OpenSecrets.org, the Center provides timely access to the data and conducts related analysis and dissemination. The Center informs researchers, media, and the public, thereby enabling voters and activists to pursue a more transparent and responsive U.S. government. A general operating support grant to the Center will enhance its delivery of accessible, high-quality information on money in politics.
