Grants to this Grantee
for support of The Forge journal
The Center for Popular Democracy publishes The Forge: Organizing Strategy and Practice, a journal for the organizing community in the U.S., which works to strengthen the practice of public engagement in key fields like education, workers’ rights, racial justice, and political economy. Occasionally swimming against the tide, The Forge aims to foster a culture of critical inquiry and self-critique in the sector, as well as one of taking the long view. for general operating support
The Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), in partnership with diverse influencers, works to create equity, opportunity, and a dynamic democracy. CPD seeks to strengthen our collective capacity to envision and win a pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial and economic justice agenda. This grant will support CPD’s theory of change, to build the power of communities to ensure the country embodies its vision of an inclusive, equitable society — where people of color, immigrants, working families, women, and LGBTQ communities thrive together, supported by a resilient economy and political institutions that reflect our priorities.
for a collaborative coaching and leadership development program
The Center for Popular Democracy is a national hub for community organizing whose goal is to build an inclusive, multi-racial democracy where people control the systems and policies that allow them to thrive.
