Overview
Center for Cultural Innovation, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, promotes knowledge sharing, networking, and financial independence for individual artists and creative entrepreneurs by providing business training; grants and loans; and incubating innovative projects that create new program knowledge, tools, and practices for artists in the field. A grant to the organization, currently under the leadership of a seasoned interim director as it undergoes an executive transition, would support regranting to individual performing and media artists in the Bay Area, as part of its Investing in Artists grants program. Funds are used to push the envelope of an artist’s creative process, explore new artistic collaborations, or experiment within an art form.

for the California Arts Leadership Investments (CALI) regranting program
Center for Cultural Innovation is a California-based arts service organization that promotes knowledge sharing and skill building. With offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the organization provides monetary grants, technical assistance, and research capacity for innovative projects that improve the practices, policies, and systems of support for artists and the arts sector. The goal of the California Arts Leadership Investments (CALI) regranting program is to enable professional development of artists and arts workers across a leadership spectrum, in order to support equitable change in the sector. Support for the CALI program advances the Performing Arts Program’s goals by boosting the infrastructure capacity of the arts sector in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This grant advances the Infrastructure component of the Performing Arts Program’s strategic framework.
for a regranting program for individual performing artists in the Bay Area
The Center for Cultural Innovation, based in Los Angeles with a satellite office in San Francisco, promotes knowledge sharing, networking, and financial independence for individual artists and creative entrepreneurs. To do this, it gives business training, grants, and loans to artists in the field and also incubates innovative projects that can offer them new program knowledge, tools, and practices. A grant to the Center would support regranting to Bay Area performing and media artists as part of its Investing in Artists grants program and also build a working cash reserve for its Creative Capacity Quick Grant program, which reimburses artists and administrators for workshops, conferences, and technical assistance fees.
