Grants to this Grantee
for the International Climate program
The Center for American Progress is an independent, nonpartisan policy institute that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through bold, progressive ideas. This grant will support the center’s international climate program which works to develop and advance a new architecture for climate, trade, and industrial policy that will fit the emerging clean energy economy and create new investment opportunities to propel global climate action. (Substrategy: Multilateral)
for the Public Lands Program
The Center for American Progress is an independent, nonpartisan policy institute dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through advancing bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action. This grant supports its efforts to ensure that America’s public lands, waters, and wildlife are protected for everyone to experience and explore; that America’s natural resources are developed wisely, safely, and with a fair return to taxpayers; and that public lands are being managed for sustainable economic growth — from creating jobs in recreation and clean energy industries to delivering the quality of life that attracts employees and businesses to Western communities. (Substrategy: Advance Conservation Protections)
for the Energy and Environment Program
The Center for American Progress’ Energy and Environment Program is charting an equitable and just path to a 100% clean economy. Over the next two years, the center will support swift implementation of federal legislation to ensure effective deployment of federal climate investments and ambitious fulfillment of the regulatory requirements of the Clean Air Act. It will also continue to demonstrate to Americans that bold climate action will produce tangible benefits, in addition to decarbonization. The center plays an important role in building consensus around priorities for decarbonization among environmental, environmental justice, and labor organizations. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
