Grants to this Grantee
for the national climate program and the Equitable & Just National Climate Platform
The Center for American Progress will advance two primary and complementary goals: first, to lay the foundation for ambitious climate action in 2021; and second, to build on the momentum from the last few years within the Equitable & Just Climate Platform to advance environmental and social justice goals. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
for scoping U.S.-China climate engagement
This grant will support the Center for American Progress in organizing a series of climate dialogues between high-level Chinese and U.S. leaders, as well as work to bring together rising Chinese and North American climate experts. This grant seeks to build trust between high-level stakeholders in the two countries so they may work together to support increased climate ambition in both the U.S. and China. It also seeks to bring together young climate experts to share knowledge and develop joint strategies to decarbonize both countries.
for the Climate Finance Regulatory Project
The Center for American Progress is an independent nonpartisan policy institute whose work spans environmental and economic issues. The center will develop a climate change financial regulatory plan, working with a coalition of both climate and finance experts across the United States.
