Established in 2007, the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) works to develop "strong, pragmatic and principled national security and defense policies." It does so on a bipartisan basis, with efforts led by senior officials who have served in the Administrations of both parties. Building on the expertise and experience of these staff and advisors, CNAS engages policymakers, experts and the public with innovative, fact-based research, ideas and analysis to shape and elevate the national security debate. This grant will support CNAS’s ongoing work, while allowing for increased focus in two key areas: Rebuilding the Bipartisan Defense Consensus and a new initiative aimed at Technology and National Security.
