Overview
Cazadero Performing Arts Camp is one of the Bay Area’s oldest summer music programs. It provides training to more than 1,100 young campers of all musical abilities at its campsite in the redwood groves of Western Sonoma County. The Summer Music Camp is a one- to two-week residential camp for youth aged 10 to 18, and the JumpStart in Music program provides a condensed, low-cost, three-day version of the camp for middle and high school students during the school year. In 2015, 224 participants received scholarship assistance. Renewed support for the Camp will help the organization continue its successful efforts to reach an increasing number of underserved youth, secure a lease renewal for its camp (owned by the City of Berkeley), and move toward greater long-term sustainability.
