CALSTART’s mission is to build the clean transportation industry to curb climate change, ensure clean air for all, and support economic growth. It works across public and private sectors to advocate for clean air policies and implement vehicle, infrastructure, and mobility solutions at scale. CALSTART deploys best-in-class subject-matter expertise on vehicle electrification and mobility innovation to develop incentive and pilot programs, while informing industry on how to support strong policies that achieve what’s needed now. CALSTART connects companies and government agencies to advance clean transportation technologies. This grant supports CALSTART’s Trucks and Non-Road Vehicle Initiative. This initiative includes work to implement the global memorandum of understanding on rapid commercial vehicle electrification, and advance zero-emission truck vehicle regulations in the U.S. CALSTART also plans to leverage the investments from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
