Overview
CCSESA's statewide arts education initiative, funded by the Hewlett Foundation since its inception in 2006, works to strengthen and expand arts education in California public schools as part of a comprehensive core curriculum. Renewed support would enable CCSESA to continue to build leadership capacity within its networks of county offices of education in order to implement arts in the curriculum, with regional leads in each of the eleven regions in the state. CCSESA will also continue providing assessment and programmatic support for schools while increasing public information and visibility of the status of arts education at every level through advocacy efforts, partnership-building, and strategic communications.
