California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) represents the 58 county superintendents and county offices of education staff that provide leadership and service to California’s 1,000 school districts, and 6.5 million students. The association’s statewide Arts Initiative works to strengthen and expand arts education in California public schools by providing professional development and curriculum tools to educators, and by overseeing the rollout of new statewide arts standards. for the Arts Initiative program
California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) represents the 58 county superintendents and county offices of education staff that provide leadership and service to California’s 1,000 school districts, and 6.5 million students. The Association’s statewide arts education initiative works to strengthen and expand arts education in California public schools, and its "regional lead" model has gained traction throughout the state as an effective way to provide professional development and curriculum tools to educators. Renewed support will deepen teaching and learning through the arts, in alignment with the upcoming revision of California’s Department of Education standards for Visual and Performing Arts for K-12 education.
