Grants to this Grantee
for a research-practice partnership to test theories of diffusion and scaled impact
The Buck Institute for Education builds capacity among teachers, school leaders, and school systems to design, implement, and facilitate project-based learning, an instructional approach in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate an authentic, complex challenge. In partnership with school districts, departments of education, and other organizations, the Buck Institute will scale such high-quality practices. This work will document the school system conditions that enable or constrain their spread, providing new understanding about how innovation travels.
