Overview
The Center for Universal Education remains the leading think tank working on universal basic education. With a grant from QEDC in 2010, the Center established itself in the Brookings Institution, developed a core team, and demonstrated its ability to advance universal quality education by producing compelling evidence and convening leading thinkers in education. This grant would allow the Center to further examine how resources can be used to improve student learning, including doing pioneering work in the development of National Education Accounts that measure total national education expenditures in developing countries. The Center would also continue its advocacy to keep education at the forefront of global issues and improved learning at the heart of the global education agenda.
