For Support Of The Center For Universal Education

Overview
The Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution is a leader in research and policy advocacy about universal basic education. This grant would continue the Foundation’s support for the Center’s strategy for influencing the global education agenda to feature access plus learning in the post-2015 and Education for All goals and indicators. The Center plans to document learning interventions that have been broadly successful through the "Millions Learning" project. It also plans to advance technical work, tools, and better policies for institutionalizing learning assessment. The Center would also analyze the education financing landscape and innovative alternatives. Finally, the Center would carry out research and advise policymakers on how to provide a better education to the most marginalized children.
