for hosting a conference on government dysfunction  
This project grant would support the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of a Law as it plans, hosts, and follows up a conference on U.S. government dysfunction. The Brennan Center is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that seeks to improve our systems of democracy and justice. This conference will gather participants from politics, policy, journalism, academe, and philanthropy to identify the causes and effects of, and possible solutions to, current government dysfunction. The Center will share ensuing insights with the public in a series of publications and reports. It will also undertake an internal planning effort to determine how these issues will influence its own priorities in the years ahead.
