AVPN (the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network) is an international network of investors, working to increase the flow of financial, human, and intellectual capital from Asia and around the world into the social sector in Asia. With this initiative, AVPN aims to work with grantee partners who are nonprofit organizations to identify ways to improve, expand, and deepen the regulatory and/or administrative environment for action that will directly contribute to meeting the climate goals set by their own countries. AVPN will also offer organizational development support, as well as facilitate dialogue between partners across Asia. (Subtstrategy: Philanthropic Capacity)

Since its launch in 2011, AVPN (Asian Venture Philanthropy Network) has become the world’s largest community of social investors focused on Asia. This grant will support its engagement of climate funders in China as a means to mobilize more resources for climate finance and enable a just energy transition across Southeast Asia.
