Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Rodel Fellowships in Public Leadership program
The Rodel Fellowships program encourages deeper, nonpartisan thinking and cross-partisan relationships among the next generation of America’s political leaders. It enrolls 24 early-career elected officials every year into a core class-based program of philosophical conversations about the nature of and responsibilities involved in public service. This grant will support ongoing efforts to integrate fellows from all classes into a sustainable network through a biennial retreat and other programming and services. Organized on the basis of office, locality, and other attributes, the network helps fellows study shared challenges, advance solutions, and maintain motivation for public service.
for a richer vision for student success
The Aspen Institute’s mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues. The Aspen Education Program (AEP) is one of the 40 programs housed at the Aspen Institute. The AEP’s mission is to improve public education by informing, influencing, and inspiring education leaders across policy and practice. This grant will provide flexible support to convene education leaders to discuss a richer vision of student success and broaden their understanding of equity.
