For A Convening On Collaborative Philanthropy

Overview
Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) brings together philanthropists and social investors focused on increasing social investing and growing the capacity and leadership of NGOs, foundations, corporations, and social enterprises intent on increasing social impact across Asia. The network includes 520 members from across Asia and around the world. AVPN’s key offerings include signature events, a knowledge center for members to draw on, impact circles on specific causes, an Asia policy forum, a deal-sharing platform, and an academy that provides training to NGOs and social investors. With this grant, AVPN will host a convening called The Future of Philanthropic Collaborations Working to Affect Large-Scale Social Change in fall 2019.

for Chinese social investment ecosystem capacity building for localized financing towards climate action  
Since its launch in 2011, AVPN (Asian Venture Philanthropy Network) has become the world’s largest community of social investors focused on Asia. This grant will support its engagement of climate funders in China as a means to mobilize more resources for climate finance and enable a just energy transition across Southeast Asia.
