Overview
The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County strengthens arts organizations and supports individual artists through local and regional technical and professional development assistance programs, marketing efforts, and grants programs. Its newly reinvigorated arts education program provides teaching artists and programs for nearly 10,000 students in the county’s schools, and its Open Studios Art Tour is a much-beloved local tradition. A recent move to the Tannery Arts Center (a Hewlett Foundation grantee) is providing welcome visibility and access to local artists and arts organizations.
