Overview
The South Asian History Markers project, a fiscally sponsored project of ARTogether, will enrich Berkeley’s public spaces by installing a permanent plaque and banners on Kala Bagai Way, a recently renamed street in downtown Berkeley. This project honors the contributions of Kala Bagai (1893-1983), one of the first South Asian immigrant women in the U.S.
