Overview
Founded in 1994, the American Academy in Berlin is committed to sustaining and enhancing the long-term intellectual, cultural, and political ties between the United States and Germany. This supplemental grant enables the American Academy in Berlin to dedicate one of its Berlin Prize Fellowships to the field of American Political Economy each year for three years. The fellows are distinguished scholars who conduct a workshop or seminar during their stay and also have the opportunity to participate in the Academy’s acclaimed interdisciplinary community of scholars, creative writers, journalists, visual artists, musical composers, and others.
