Overview
Based in Senegal, the Afrikajom Center was created in 2018 to contribute to the construction of a more just and equitable world by providing a space for social interaction on the continent’s challenges and opportunities with the view to building, thinking, achieving, innovating, and giving birth to a peaceful democratic Africa, respectful of the legitimate governance of human rights and fundamental freedoms. The center is a think tank, a laboratory of ideas and a regional training and research hub whose objective is also to strengthen the capacities of states, civil society organizations, national and regional human rights institutions, and African citizens as well as the assessment of democracy in Africa.
