The African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), based in Ghana, provides parliamentary-strengthening support to representative parliaments in Africa. With its partners OTT and the Ghana Statistical Service, ACEPA works to strengthen the Parliament of Ghana’s access to and use of data to monitor Ghana’s progress on the Sustainable Development Goals and other national development priorities; and foster learning among the broader evidence-informed policymaking community about parliamentary use of data to enhance representation and oversight functions. Through this grant, ACEPA will undertake a project to build its institutional capacity around three core areas: strategic planning, fund development, and communications and marketing.

Under this grant ACEPA, together with its partners INASP and the Ghana Statistical Service, aims to enhance the Parliament of Ghana’s effectiveness in oversight and representation by improving the capacity of its committees to use data to inform their deliberations.
