Overview
The Africa Freedom of Information Centre brings together 43 civil society organizations from across Africa to promote the right of access to public information through research, capacity building, and coordinated advocacy. The center provides leadership and technical support to member organizations to develop and implement country action plans to enhance citizens’ access to public information. This grant will enable the center to promote the principles and practice of open public contracting in East and West Africa and improve the quality and use of procurement and contracts information by citizen groups, enabling them to monitor the delivery of health and education services and infrastructure by private contractors.
