Kathy A.N. Grant

Chief Information Officer and Director, Facilities Operations

Kathy Grant is the Chief Information Officer and Director, Facilities Operations at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. She oversees the foundation’s technology strategy, cybersecurity program, network infrastructure, and building operations, ensuring a collaborative, secure, and productive environment for the foundation’s staff, guests, and grantees. Her philanthropy experience also includes grantmaking, strategic planning, field building, and grantee convenings in support of the Open Educational Resources portfolio, partnering with non-profit organizations and NGOs to expand global access to openly licensed educational content. Prior to joining Hewlett, Kathy managed human resources information systems at Borders Group, Inc., served as a consultant focusing on pharmaceutical supply chain optimization, and began her career as an information systems officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Kathy received her MA in East Asian Studies and MBA from Stanford University and also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Santa Clara University. She enjoys mentoring women in tech, international travel, and practicing conversational Japanese and Spanish.
