Brian Eule – Communications Associate
Before joining the Hewlett Foundation, Brian worked at a national program office of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. A former newspaper journalist, Brian wrote for the Patriot Ledger and continues to contribute to several publications, in addition to being the author of a children’s nonfiction book. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.F.A. in Writing from Columbia University.

Jennifer Gafke – Administrative Assistant, The Philanthropy Workshop West
Jennifer came to the Hewlett Foundation from the Midtown Niki Group, a real estate investment trust, where she worked in operations and investor support. Before that she was part of Hambrecht & Quist Asia Pacific, a leading private equity firm headquartered in Palo Alto, where she supported the managing partners. Jennifer also has worked for local Silicon Valley start-ups and Finck, Rudnick & Company, a Menlo Park accounting firm. At the Foundation she will work with alumni of the philanthropy workshops.

Rena Lee – Applications Developer, Information Technology
Before coming to the Foundation, Rena worked for Inxight, a Xerox spin-off, where she spent six years developing Java-based web applications and working in Microsoft’s .NET environment. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Gabriele Ondine – Program Assistant, Education
With a B.S. in Chemistry from San José State University, a Chef de Cuisine diploma from the California Culinary Academy, and a B.A. in business from Heald College, Gabriele has owned a wholesale food business, a pottery studio, and a bed-and-breakfast, as well as served as Director of Hospitality at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars for seven years. Most recently, she worked as the office manager at Nelson Staffing Solutions, a recruiting firm.

Shireen Pasha – Associate Program Officer, Performing Arts
Shireen is an artist and filmmaker who most recently directed and produced a documentary set in post-tsunami Sri Lanka, What is time, my love? She previously worked as Program Director for the Asia Society (Northern California), as a business analyst in the private sector, and as an import policy analyst and international trade analyst for the U.S. Department of Commerce.  She holds a B.A. degree in Economics and International Studies with a minor in French from George Mason University.
