Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards says the Women’s March on Washington was the largest march in the history of the United States. “Fully one in every hundred people in this country was marching somewhere.” And what was so important, says Richards, is that the 4 million men and women who marched weren’t just in Washington, DC, or San Francisco, or Los Angeles; they were all across the country showing their support for women’s health, rights, and the ability to live their lives fully. The number of people who have signed up and stepped out to support women’s health and equality means she “has never been more hopeful that the future is on our side.”
