for the Arts for All Pooled Fund
Arts for All, a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, has been working since 2002 to create vibrant classrooms, schools, communities, and economies by restoring all arts disciplines to the core curriculum for all of Los Angeles County’s K-12 students. Now serving forty-nine of the county’s eighty-one school districts, and working in partnership with the largest, Los Angeles Unified School District, Arts for All supports the creation of infrastructure to deliver arts education to more than half a million students. Its varied methods include Community Arts Teams that develop arts education policies in districts; teacher professional development; and seed funding for school arts coordinator positions. Supported by a Pooled Fund of corporate and philanthropic entities, Arts for All is considered a sustainable, systemic model program for arts education nationwide. The organization is also a key stakeholder in statewide advocacy and policy discussions.
