Isa Bender Zevallos

Program Associate, Environment

Isa (they/them) is a Program Associate in the Environment Program at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. They support grantmaking for the multilateral portfolio.

Before joining the foundation, Isa was the Institutional Giving Manager at Avow Texas, where they were responsible for the writing, submission, and tracking of the organization’s grants. Prior to that role, they managed volunteer training and bookkeeping for a small nonprofit in Houston, TX.

Isa is originally from Brazil and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Sciences Po Paris. Outside of work, they volunteer at an animal hospital, where they rehabilitate local wildlife, such as opossums, raptors, and the occasional reptile.
