Overview
Recidiviz is a tech nonprofit that works with criminal justice agencies to advance their use of data to safely reduce incarceration. Recidiviz tools identify the thousands of people who are currently sitting behind bars, despite being eligible for release, and surface the thousands more who could be eligible with targeted support. Since 2019, Recidiviz has scaled this model to 11 states — reaching 26% of the U.S. incarcerated population — and helped to safely accelerate 75,000 people out of the system. This grant provides general operating support to Recidiviz.
