Overview
The Little Forks Conservancy permanently protects and improves natural environments in mid-Michigan by leading and inspiring actions that conserve vital habitats and waterways for the benefit of the community. Its goal is to have places in nature that inspire connections and communities, serve as a healing and educational space, and allow all ages and abilities access to nature, now and for future generations to come. This general operating support grant will support the conservancy’s work which includes improving the habitat and providing public access to the 898 acres of land they manage, working with landowners to develop permanent conservation options to protect land along regional waterways, stewarding over 3,000 acres of conservation easements, and providing community conservation to improve the natural environment.
