Overview
This grant supports New Day at Federal Hall, a program established by the National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy, in partnership with the National Park Service, to transform Federal Hall in New York City through the arts, humanities, and cultural experiences into a catalyst for civic and civil engagement. The Federal Hall team will draw on and deploy the educational power of its historic evidence to explore the complex but incomplete stories of America. Documents and artifacts will be displayed and interpreted by a diverse array of contemporary scholars, artists, writers, thinkers, musicians, and performers. The goal is to create an experience to educate and inspire audiences to engage with the responsibilities and privileges of our democratic system.
