for the Clean Transportation Transformation Program
In addition to strengthening the Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation’s (ICET) U.S.-China clean transportation program, this grant serves as a seed fund for ICET to scope new global city cluster carbon neutral projects between China and fast-developing mega-cities in the Global South, allowing them to jointly explore low-carbon development models. (Substrategy: China National Policy)
for support of the Low Carbon Transportation Program
The Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET) is a Chinese organization working to develop the methodology and policy framework for a Chinese low-carbon transportation sector. iCET is a key technical advisor to the Chinese government on the design of vehicles and fuels regulation. With the recommended grant, iCET would promote the reduction of conventional pollutants with proposed policies for low-carbon transportation and the establishment of a pathway to remove barriers to low-sulfur diesel production by refineries.
