Overview
Established as the Association of Black Foundation Executives in 1971, ABFE is a philanthropic membership organization that advocates for responsive and transformative investments in Black communities. Partnering with foundations, nonprofits, and individuals, ABFE provides members with professional development and technical assistance that further the philanthropic sector’s connection and responsiveness to issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion. ABFE’s work on these issues aligns to our Knowledge for Better Philanthropy strategy goals of informing and improving funders’ work.
