New Venture Fund

For The Demand Progress Education Fund

Overview
The Demand Progress Education Fund will continue its efforts to ensure the executive branch is populated with officials who seek to use public power to implement an economic vision that improves people’s lives. The executive branch wields extraordinary authorities that relate to essentially every sector of the economy, yet these tools are not leveraged for all they could be, and the very concept of executive action remains obscure to many NGOs, the media, and the general public. Consequently, for more than a generation, the executive branch has largely been the domain of neoliberal technocrats and figures captured by corporations and elites. The Education Fund will build upon several years of impactful efforts to change this.
