Overview
The New Venture Fund’s Salmon State program seeks to secure state and federal policies in Alaska to protect the most important salmon spawning watersheds in the state. The program will engage scientists to understand which watersheds are most critical for salmon; educate state and federal decision makers on its findings; and build support among commercial and sport fishermen, Native American tribes, and the public. The program will also provide timely and relevant information to the media that cover salmon issues in Alaska, Canada, and the lower-forty-eight.
