Overview
The New Venture Fund’s Western Energy Project seeks to protect ecologically important public lands in the Rocky Mountain West threatened by fossil energy leasing and development. This grant would support its efforts to promote landscape-level planning on public lands to identify where energy development will, and will not, occur; to educate decision makers on the need for a public lands energy policy that balances energy development with conservation and to engage a diverse array of interests in support of balanced energy policies that value the conservation of our Western land, water, and wildlife habitat.
