Overview
This grant would support the Montana Wilderness Association’s efforts to secure protection for much of the remaining 6 million acres of roadless public land in the state. These lands provide habitat for some of the nation’s most iconic species, including grizzly bears and wolves. In its efforts to protect these lands, the association would enlist a wide variety of people in the state, educate decision makers on the merits of setting aside roadless lands, and provide the press with materials that support roadless area protection.
