Overview
The California Medical Association Foundation is the fiscal sponsor of the Fresno Madera Medical Society, which educates physicians throughout the San Joaquin Valley on clean air policy and facilitates their engagement in regional and state policymaking. In 2013, the Society will focus on improving the Regional Transportation Plans and General Plans in three counties to further reduce global warming and smog-forming pollution to better protect public health, and will bring physicians’ voices to bear in efforts to solidify the state’s strong emission reduction targets for the Valley.
