Overview
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy promotes sustainable and equitable transportation policies and projects worldwide. The Institute is at the forefront of efforts to reduce carbon emissions, protect the environment, and improve the quality of urban life. With this project grant, the organization would enhance its urban transportation modeling capacity that would help build a long-term sustainable transportation system in the metropolitan areas of the Valley of Mexico and Guadalajara. The goal is to provide appropriate technical assistance to the government as it updates and implements its transportation plans.

The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy aims to create sustainable, livable, and equitable cities around the world. With this grant, the institute will focus on scaling up electric charging infrastructure that’s integrated with progressive parking management systems, through supportive policies and action plans, for cities in India. for advancing electrification in China and India transport  
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy promotes environmentally sustainable and socially equitable transportation in cities worldwide. This grant supports the institute to make progress toward its goal of replacing high-carbon personal vehicles with low-carbon shared and electric vehicles. Specifically, the institute will work with cities to electrify buses, informal transit, and shared micromobility in China and India. The lessons from this work will serve to inform the development of a global electric bus policy and implementation guidebook.
