Overview
This grant would renew our long-time commitment to the Bipartisan Policy Center and its work on national energy policy. This year the Center will focus on two categories of work. First, it will support work on natural gas, particularly shale gas, as both a low carbon alternative to coal and coal as a growing environmental challenge. Second, it will support policy work that focuses on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, an increasingly important regulatory agency for promoting market rules that encourage faster development of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
