Grants to this Grantee
for the Integrating Water, Energy, and Climate in the Intermountain West project
The Pacific Institute works to create a healthier planet and sustainable communities by conducting interdisciplinary research and partnering with stakeholders to produce solutions that advance environmental protection, economic development, and social equity-in California, nationally, and internationally. This grant will support an analysis by the Institute of how various energy choices, including fossil and renewable, will affect water supply in the West, with a special emphasis on climate change. We expect the results will provide a new tool to our grantees to better understand future energy/water policy choices. Pacific Institute's work will advance our priorities to protect Western water resources and to transition the West to renewable sources of energy. This is a tie-off grant. (New, $100,000/1; 27% of project budget)
