Overview
A grant to New Venture Fund (NVF) will support the CyberPeace Institute (CPI), a fiscally sponsored project of NVF. The CPI will become an independent nonprofit based in Geneva, Switzerland, with the mission of enhancing stability in cyberspace. Its three core functions are (a) helping and defending civilian victims of cyberattacks; (b) analyzing and investigating cyberattacks; and (c) promoting cybersecurity norms, prevention of attacks, and responsible behavior. The core founding funders are the Hewlett Foundation, Mastercard, and Microsoft. Other contributors include the Ford Foundation and Facebook.
