Overview
Global Witness investigates, exposes, and challenges corruption in natural resource governance. It seeks to ensure that revenue from natural resources drives peaceful and sustainable development in the world’s resource-rich countries. With this grant, Global Witness will advocate for effective implementation of the newly adopted norms and standards by the board of the Extractives Industry Transparency Initiative. Global Witness will also mount campaigns to expose corrupt practices by extractive companies and promote public disclosure of company ownership information.
