Overview
This grant is for support to the Center for Effective Public Management (CEPM), a part of the Brookings Institution Governance Studies program. In keeping with its mission to provide independent, in-depth research that leads to pragmatic and innovative ideas, CEPM conducts research and analysis on the U.S. Congress and its institutional performance, capacity, and problem solving, with an eye on the ramifications for democracy and governance at a time of heightened polarization and extremism. Through scholarship, convenings, and dissemination of research analysis and recommendations, CEPM will encourage and support more effective congressional governance and stronger principles of American democracy.
