Overview
Friends of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is a nonprofit fiscally sponsored project of NEO Philanthropy dedicated to preserving federal civil rights oversight and enforcement. The Education team has been focused up to now on shaping national policy related to deeper learning but has paid too little attention to the threats to deeper learning opportunities for vulnerable students. This grant sheds light on who these students are and the factors that inhibit their access to deeper learning opportunities.

for support of the Democracy 2076 project
Americans are losing faith in our democracy, and authoritarianism is stepping into the gap. Democracy 2076, a fiscally sponsored project of NEO Philanthropy, provides a solution to inspire faith in the future of our democracy and opportunities to continue to build the United States’ multiracial democracy. One of its key initiatives includes convening democracy advocates from a wide range of backgrounds to build a long-term vision for U.S. democracy.
