Overview
The Bipartisan Policy Center’s Democracy Project works to combine the best ideas from both parties to promote bipartisan relationship building and stronger institutions. With the support of the Hewlett Foundation, the Democracy Project will track and analyze congressional procedures and adherence to regular order through the quarterly Healthy Congress Index; widely publicize the index to lawmakers, their staff, and the public; and use the index as a tool for revitalizing an effective Congress. Grant funds also may be used for convenings and events related to strengthening the institution of Congress.
