Overview
This Brookings Institution project seeks to restore effectiveness to the federal budget process and rebuild trust in that process among both parties and the American people. Brookings will work closely with other organizations and scholars, including political scientists, as well as budget experts. The project seeks to develop budget process ideas and reform strategies to advance them, with the aim of reshaping the long-term discussion about budgeting while seeking opportunities to advance reforms whenever the opportunity arises.
